"Hunt for Connection" is a unique and rare opportunity to educate oneself and gain perspective on what it means and takes to bring hunting into your life. This hands-on class is intended for the Adult Onset Hunter. The purpose is to create more opportunity, equity, access for sustainable and ethical hunting. If you did not grow up around a hunting family, and if you don't have close friends as an adult who hunt, then learning to hunt can be a lonely and unsupported pursuit. The class is designed to meet individuals "where they are at" in their journey and help them move in it by presenting necessary skills, asking the right questions, and role modeling how to become a mindful hunter. The only real goal here is to grow appreciation, reverence, and gratitude for nature and each one's relationship with it. Hunting is the context.

In addition to the Course dates, participants will receive emails with resources - websites, articles, podcasts, videos, stories - tailored to our studies and opportunities for 1-on-1 support. Furthermore, participants will be invited to extra teachable moments outside of class dates when they occur.
Hours/Locations - Classes will take place in a variety of settings, mostly outdoors. I am so excited to share all of these places with you. Together we will get to experience my home woods that I care for and love deeply, manage as a working forest and wild food center, as well as vast state forest land that I have spent over 100 hours exploring and scouting last hunting season alone.
Timing will shift a bit during the course, but each day will be 6 hours long and there will be a commute during the class on a couple occasions. I recommend having the entire day free to accommodate the flexibility in the class, if possible! Thank you for reading and I hope to be in the woods with you one day!
